Columbus – Mary Lightbody, candidate for Ohio House District 4 released the following statement celebrating her re-election to the Ohio House.
“Thank you to all those in Ohio House District 4 who turned out to vote and supported my campaign for re-election. The message that voters in the newly drawn district sent to me is clear: they want a State Representative who knows how to get things done, who will protect their rights and freedoms, and who will be an advocate for minorities and women. I welcome the opportunity to continue serving my constituents and I will continue to fight for high quality education and healthcare, economic growth, jobs that pay a living wage, and the rights and freedoms of everyone in my district and all of Ohio,” said Lightbody.
“Jill Rudler very graciously called me late on Election Night to concede the race and we had an amicable conversation. It is not easy to run for elected office for the first time, and I congratulated her on a good campaign,” said Lightbody.
“You can rest assured that I will be working hard to represent you, whether you voted for me or not, and will work for a brighter future. As you may remember, I firmly believe that ‘Doing does it,'” said Lightbody.
